The Colorado Nurses Association values and respects the privacy needs of its membership.  This policy statement addresses the protection of private information through the website and for our contracted online registration system.

Collection of Personal Information

CNA collects personal information for purposes of understanding membership demographics and for event registration purposes.  Information collected may include name, address, contact information, zip code, district affiliation, and information on membership status.  Event survey data may be collected for event registrants to become informed of future events. Credit card data may be requested for processing of payment for online registration.  Please refer to security measures to be taken to protect information.

Use of Personal Information

Colorado Nurses Association collects personal information to deliver member services and to process event registrations.  Your personal information may be used to notify you of advocacy issues, professional nursing or health care events, or to solicit professional nursing involvement on a voluntary basis.  CNA will not sell, rent, or lease its member listing to third parties except as required by law.  Personal information will only be used by the Colorado Nurses Association and to process event registrations.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a small data file written to a user’s hard drive when a website is accessed.  Cookies is used for authenticating session tracking, and maintaining specific information about users, such as site preferences.  A cookie can not read or access other cookies or any data from a user’s hard drive.  The online registration system uses cookies to save user names in order to minimize data entry and for general ease of use.  Cookies may also be used to time out user sessions that are idle for extended periods of time.  Cookies can not be used to run programs or to deliver viruses to your computer.

The online registration system may use user IP addresses to diagnose problems with their servers and to administer their application.
